Live From The Edge

A Live TV Show made during Lockdown to help bands reach an audience in a safe isolated environment

Live From the Edge was a concept born out of necessity during lockdown to create a space for musicians to live stream their music whilst adhering to the rules set down for isolation when gigs and large gatherings were banned from taking place.

Live From The Edge.

From a concept to make live streaming available to bands during lockdown, John Delf came up with a format to enable bands to get their music heard whilst gigs were banned during Covid. He roped in the help of the extremely talented and lovely Mark Radcliffe to present the format and also managed to get other music celebrities to be involved including Craig Charles, Clint Boon, Mike Joyce and Peter Hook to interview bands. We live streamed over 50 bands to their audiences during 2020/21 getting help from the Cultural Recovery Grant and sponsorship from Sennheiser.  It was a mixture of well known artist and local grassroots bands whom many of have gone on to national success since appearing on the show including The Lottery Winners, The K's, Crawlers, The Sherlocks etc.

The streams were edited together to make a 15 episode TV show that was aired on Sky Showcase TV channel and is now available to watch on Youtube.
